Ram - Common Ground TV Spot
RAM Trucks, a brand known for delivering poignant, culturally-driven messages during the holiday season, asked us to develop their Thanksgiving spot. A noticeable overlap between land formation and parts of the human body were seen as the team reviewed images found on Daily Overview - a photography project aimed to inspire and change the way we see our planet through the Overview Effect. This inspired the concept and drove the direction of the spot.
By juxtaposing macro photography of humanity with satellite and aerial imagery of the land formations in America, the spot inspired viewers by stating that although we may gather around separate tables, we are all equal and connected.
The spot won two top honors at the Communicator Awards, including ‘Excellence in Automotive for Commercials’ and ‘Excellence in Art Direction for Commercials’
It also received several Atlanta ADDY awards including Gold for TV Advertising, Gold for Art Direction Craft, and Silver for Copywriting Craft.
Our spot made it into the Top 4 Most Popular spots on AdAge. The spot along with Iris was in the Featured Profile spotlight the same week.
